Spotlight is a strand of regular talks by artists at Phoenix Art Space. It enables Phoenix studio members to share their work/practice with the Phoenix community (fellow artists and friends) in an informal setting. This February we welcome Denise Harrison and Marcelina Amelia to hear about their practices.
Denise is a landscape and figurative painter and published author. She holds a BA and MA in Painting. For this Spotlight, Denise will be talking about a body of figurative work which explores memory, loss and place using the rituals of the ‘Seven Sacraments’ that marked the milestones of her family’s life events and gatherings.
